Hay un conjunto de expresiones similares que pueden causar problemas a los estudiantes de ingl\u00e9s: used to; to be used to; to get used to.... La primera, \"used to\", se utiliza de forma muy diferente a las otras dos, que est\u00e1n relacionadas. Yo las considero as\u00ed:<\/p>\n

1. acostumbrado a + verbo simple<\/strong>expresa una acci\u00f3n que el sujeto realizaba regularmente o repetidamente en el pasado pero que ya no hace<\/p>\n

Ejemplo: Sol\u00eda fumar (pero ahora no lo hago).<\/p>\n

Antes le\u00eda mucho, pero ahora no tiene tiempo.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. ser usado para + sustantivo\/pronombre o verbo-ing<\/strong>: estar acostumbrado; estar adaptado<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Ejemplo: Estoy acostumbrado al fr\u00edo.<\/p>\n

    Est\u00e1 acostumbrada a vivir en climas c\u00e1lidos.<\/p>\n

    No le gusta su trabajo, pero est\u00e1 acostumbrado.<\/p>\n

    1. acostumbrarse + sustantivo\/pronombre o verbo<\/strong>: estar en proceso de adaptaci\u00f3n o acostumbramiento<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Ejemplo: El invierno en Chicago es duro, pero me estoy acostumbrando.<\/p>\n

      No me gusta la comida sana, pero me estoy acostumbrando a comerla.<\/p>\n

      No puede acostumbrarse a levantarse a las 5 de la ma\u00f1ana todos los d\u00edas. Es demasiado dif\u00edcil para \u00e9l.<\/p>\n
